I chose the theme of Industrial, so it was about old buildings, rust, decay and more...I made a Pinterest Board for inspiration. You can see the images here: http://www.pinterest.com/SusanPurneyMark/the-printed-fabric-bee-industrial/
I'll be announcing the winner on July 10th! Leave a comment telling us what kinds of creative ideas you'll be working on this summer!
Wow those look fantastic! I love all the grunge.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics and the theme! I am finishing quilts right now, hope to get back to creative work in a month or two.
ReplyDeleteIndustrial themed fabrics are super... you have all demonstrated GREAT techniques... hope to follow suit with paints and artist inks as summer ticks along. Screen work, thermofax and deconstructed.
ReplyDeleteLove all the fabrics. Each is so unique!

ReplyDeleteReally like the collection I'm drawn to the slightly decaying, eroding feel. Reminds me of Venice!
ReplyDeleteWow these are lovely. Very creative girls at work here.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a strong urge after watching Lynda's posts on this challenge to play with surface design again myself. It's been many years. It's wonderful that you all print enough to share with one of us each time.
ReplyDeleteI like the cogs, gears, and street feel!
ReplyDeleteSuch variety coming from the "Industrial" theme...all are great.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! In summer, themes like plants, earth and sky appeal to me. I love that you went the other way completely with industrial.
ReplyDeleteLove the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI find myself becoming repetitive in my comments because each month you all surprise and amaze me with your talents. Summertime is fabric dyeing and surface design time for me. I open up the outdoor studio, aka patio and immerse myself in creating cloth. During a recent remodel, I requested more lighting. I can now dye all night long if so inclined! :) I am reading each of your blogposts and taking notes to inspire me when I get to the surface design stage. Thanks always for inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteI'm ever so inspired to get back into the studio after traveling and the new grandbaby. Thanks for the push!
ReplyDeleteThose are all such beautiful fabrics!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics. I'll be working on rust-dyed and rust-stamped fabrics.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see fabrics not mass produced.
ReplyDeleteI will be playing with shibori!!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Out of my comfort zone but I would love to try something with them!
